Coventry Blaze won 5-2 at Hull Stingrays tonight in an Elite League fixture.
Paul Thompson's side led 1-0 at the end of the first period thanks to a 15.43 goal from Derek Campbell who added a second on 21.05.
A 34th minute powerplay goal had Hull temporarily back in it but Greg Owen restored the Blaze's two goal margin when he netted on 39.56 assisted by Jason Robinson.
Jason Silverton hit a second for Hull on 44.41. However, the Blaze held their nerve and on 57.16, Jon Weaver scored a fourth for Coventry.
That became five on 58.40 when Luke Fulghum wrapped up a good win, assisted by Carlson and Weaver.
On Saturday, the Blaze travel to Sheffield before facing Belfast at home on Sunday.
