Coventry Blaze won their first pre-season game with a 3-1 victory over Cardiff Devils at the Sky Dome on Wednesday night.
Lord fired the Devils ahead on 34:11 but eight seconds later, Adam Henrich equalised.
In the third period, Ross Venus fired Coventry ahead on 47.07 on the powerplay and on 54.30, the game was wrapped up by a third from Michael Henrich.
