Cardiff took the lead on 7:07 through Smith, assisted by Myers and Davies and it was two before the end of the first period when Blight scored a powerplay goal, assisted by Birbraer and Faulkner.
A third goal came in the second period from Lord who scored on 36-35, assisted by Morrisette and Davies and a minute and forty seconds into the third, Davies scored a fourth, assisted by Lord and Batch.
