Mike Egener pulled one back on 21.50, assisted by Shea Guthrie and Dustin Cameron but on 25.29, Schepke completed his hat-trick, assisted by Krestenovich and Birnstill.
Brad Leeb started a fight back when he scored on 29.50, assisted by Russ Cowley and Greg Leeb and on 32.59, it was 4-4 thanks to Derek Campbell finding the net, assisted by Shea Guthrie.
There were no goals in the third period, so the match went to over time and on 64:09, Griffin scored, assisted by Guthrie to give Blaze a 5-4 win.
