Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey team were beaten 5-3 in a Challenge Cup match tonight.
Cardiff flew into a first period 4-0 lead with goals from Mac Faulkner on 4.25 with a powerplay goal, a shorthanded, unassisted Matthew Myers on 6.46, Tynan Marsh on 11.12 and a powerplay goal on 18.34 from Andrew Lord.
A powerplay goal from Ryan Ginand got the Blaze on the board on 26.12, assisted by Ashley Tait and Adam Henrich but 2.41 into the third period, an unassisted, short-handed Ben Davies goal put Cardiff 5-1 up.
Ryan Ginand scored a second powerplay goal on 48.35, assisted by Adam Henrich and Kevin Harvey and completed his hat-trick on 52.40 with a third powerplay goal, assisted again by Adam Henrich but the Blaze were beaten.
