Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey Club are losing their two net minders.

Brett Jaeger is moving to an as yet unnamed Danish club while Tom Murdy is joining Swindon Wildcats.

Blaze coach Paul Thompson told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "Jaeger is off to Denmark. He's been offered a good contract over there.

"He's a great goalie but just didn't have the team in front of him. He played hard night-in, night-out. "I'm sure he'll go on to have a very good career in the higher-paying league in Europe."

19 year old Murdy will drop down a division to play for Swindon and he admitted that getting regulat time on the ice was his main priority.

Murdy said: "I am really looking forward to next season already."Having been a back-up for the last couple of years I am looking forward to starting for the Cats.

"I will be hoping to bring my Elite League experience to the club and help move them up the table."
