Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey club went down to a 6-5 defeat to Hull Stingrays tonight at the Sky Dome.
Brad Cruickshank fired The Blaze ahead with a powerplay goal on 1.45 and five minutes later, Luke Fughum added a second goal which this time was a short handed one.
Twelve seconds into the second period, Hull pulled one back through Lee Esclers and on 22.59, Matti Uusivirta tied the game.
Parity was restored for only a minute as Coventry were back in front thanks to Dan Carlson finding the net with a powerplay goal.
Hull levelled again through Kurtis Dulle on 27.30 only for Robert Farmer to have Coventry ahead with a fourth goal and a powerplay one on 31.39.
Six minutes into the third period, Hull were level again thanks to Lee Mitchell before powerplay goals from Jereme Trendler and Kurtis Dulle
saw Hull 6-4 up.
On 57.23, Jon Weaver scored a powerplay goal but Coventry could add to their score of five goals and went down to a defeat.
