Blaze Inflict More Capitols Punishment

Coventry Blaze inflicted more punishment on the Edinburgh Capitols with a 10-2 victory at the Sky Dome tonight having beaten them 11-1 a few weeks ago.




Adam Calder put Paul Thompson's side,who were shorthanded, ahead unassisted after 8 minutes 38 seconds.

In front of a third full Sky Dome, Blaze netted five times during the second period. Scott Kelman scored twice with Barrie Moore,Dan Carlson (shorthanded) and Danny Stewart netting to make it 6-0.

Stewart added a seventh before Edinburgh netted twice through Joe Dustin and David Nimmo to delight their 12 supporters.

Adam Calder scored again to make it 8-2, before man of the match Ben Connor and Dan Carlson netted to wrap up a fine win.

On Saturday, Blaze travel to Cardiff and a day later take on Nottingham Panthers at the Sky Dome.
