Blaze Hit Six Past Fife

Fife Flyers had a torrid time in getting to the Sky Dome and the night did not get any better as Coventry Blaze beat then 6-1.

Face Off was delayed for two hours due to the Scottish side having problems in getting to Coventry and when they did get on the ice, Ryan Ginand fired the Blaze ahead on 18-51, assisted by Cowley.

Fife levelled on 26.18 with a powerplay goal from Dacosta, assisted by Contois and Reber but on 27:51, it was 2-1 to Coventry thanks to Ryan Ginand netting, assisted by Tanaka & McMillin with a short handed goal.

There was one more goal in the second period and that was Ginand's hat-trick goal on 37:23 3-1 when he scored a powerplay goal, assisted by Harvey and Michael Henrich.

In to the final period and on 41:44, Ross Venus scored to make it 4-1, assisted by Kallstrom and Harvey and Ginand scored his fourth and The Blaze's fifth goal on 52:37 with a short handed goal assisted by Adam Henrich.

There was fifty four seconds of the match left when Russ Cowley finished off a good weekend for the Blaze when he scored a powerplay goal assisted by Kallstrom.
