Blaze Hit Hull For Seven

Coventry Blaze won 7-2 in an Elite League game at Hull Stingrays tonight.

The home side took the lead on 7.16 with an unassisted Andrew Coburn powerplay goal but the handful who made it to Hull, were far happier in the second period when Man Of The Match Brad Cruickshank levelled on 24.31,assisted by Chambers and Owen.

On 27.09, Cruickshank scored again, finding the net from assists from Chambers and Weaver.

Two became three on 31.43 when Brad Zanon set up Luke Fulghum for a short handed goal and two minutes and thirteen seconds later, there was another goal for the Blaze fans to enjoy when Greg Chambers scored on the powerplay, assisted by Carlson and Weaver.

Two minutes into the third period, Coventry hit their fifth thanks to Luke Fulghum scoring, assisted by Carlson and Farmer. That goal was on the powerplay and so was their sixth when Greg Owen found the net on 44.37, with assists for Arron Nell and Greg Chambers.

Dan Carlson hit number seven on 51.31 through Dan Carlson, assisted by Luke Fulghum and Robert Farmer and although Drew Bannister scored a second for the Stingrays on 54.33, Coventry who travel to Braehead Clan on Thursday night, were very worthy winners.
