Blaze Hit Edinburgh For Six

Coventry Blaze beat Edinburgh Capitals 6-3 tonight.

At the Sky Dome tonight, the visitors took the lead through a third minute goal from Simon Lambert.

Their lead lasted until 8.26 when Jon Weaver netted unassisted. Coventry kept up the shots ratio and on 16.33, they took the lead through Greg Chambers who scored, assisted by Owen and Lee.

Into the second period and The Blaze scored their third goal of the evening when on the powerplay, Luke Fulghum scored on 22.32.

Edinburgh came back twenty four seconds later through Owen Fussey and on 33.41, Ben O'Connor scored to tie the match.

Luke Fulghum made it 4-3 to the Blaze on 37.10, scoring from assists by Chambers and Lee.

The Blaze fans had to wait until the 53rd minute for the next goal which fell to Danny Stewart who fired home, assisted by Lee and Derek Campbell.

The match was wrapped up on 58.10 when with no net minder in the Edinburgh Capitals goal, Jon Weaver scored to give the Blaze a 6-3 victory.

Sunday night sees The Blaze travel to Edinburgh. Face off is at 6.30pm.
