Coventry Blaze got their revenge on Nottingham Panthers for the defeat last night with a 6-4 victory at the Sky Dome tonight.

Corey Neilson opened the scoring on 7.37 when he fired home assisted by Bruce Richardson and Jade Galbraith only for Greg Chambers to get the Blaze level on 9.14.

Chambers added a second with a powerplay goal on 10.42 but  less than two minutes later, Bruce Richardson tied the match.

Luke Fulghum got on the scoresheet for Paul Thompson's team on 15.14 when he netted assisted by Chambers.

Before the end of the first period, the Blaze were 4-2 up thanks to Fulghum setting up Russ Cowley for the fourth Coventry goal.

The second period saw Nottingham's Danny Myers sin-binned for ten minutes for misconduct as Adam Calder fired into the net unassisted.

That was the only goal of the second period and the next goal came four minutes and 21 seconds into the third when David Clarke scored.

Nottingham pulled another goal back through Dominc D'Amour on the powerplay but the winning two goal margin was restored when a powerplay goal from Adam Calder on 59.16 gave The Blaze a 6-4 victory that keeps them top of the Elite League table.

Next Saturday, The Balze travel to Cardiff before taking on Sheffield Steelers at the Sky Dome on Sunday.
