Coventry Blaze beat Cardiff Devils 6-2 tonight at the Sky Dome.

Paul Thompson's side lost 6-3 at Cardiff last night and were straight into the Devils in the opening period.

Dan Carlson opened the scoring when he netted with a powerplay goal on 7.36. Adam Calder added a second, assisted by Derek Campbell and Russ Cowley before Carlson made it 3-0 on 15.51 with an unassisted goal.

The second period saw Mark Smith pull one back for the visitors on 23.47 and with Jason Robinson off the ice for a two minute penalty for hooking, Smith assisted Wes Jarvis to reduce the arrears even further on 25.28

Back came The Blaze and Luke Fulghum scored assisted by Carlson and Chambers on 32.06.

Into the third period and it was 5-2 to Coventry, thanks to Adam Calder firing home, assisted by Carlson and Chambers on 45.02.

Twenty seconds from the end with Cardiff down to three men following a game ban for Brad Voth and a penalty for Finnerty, latest signing Chris Allen scored assisted by Brian Lee and Joe Henry to complete a 6-2 victory.

On Wednesday night, the Blaze travel to Hull Stingrays.
