Coventry Blaze face Belfast Giants again in an away and home Play-Off Semi-Final next weekend after a 7-2 defeat on Sunday night at the Sky Dome.
A Brandon Benedict powerplay goal on 14.39 opened the scoring before Greg Owen drew Coventry level when he scored on 16.31.
Goals from Mark Garside and Craig Peacock had Belfast 3-1 by the end of the second period.
Greg Owen hit a second on 45.22 but Belfast upped their game and scored four times through Garside, Pruden, Peacock and Dan Welch to win 7-2.
Tickets are on sale for the Play-Off game at the Sky Dome next Sunday.
