Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey were beaten 5-1 at Sheffield Steelers.

At the Motorpoint Arena, the Blaze were a man down after Ryan Ginand was given two minutes for hooking when Shea Guthrie fired Coventry ahead on 12.15, with a short-handed goal, assisted by Michael Devin.

However, two minutes and thirty eight seconds later, that lead was wiped out when Stefan Meyer equalised, assisted by Chris Blight and Gord Baldwin.

Four became five on 49.23, when Meyer scored his fourth goal on the powerplay and it was a 5-1 loss that Coventry went home with.
