Blaze Beaten By Belfast

Coventry Blaze were beaten 3-2 by Belfast Giants in an Elite League game on Saturday night.

At the Sky Dome, the visitors took a two goal first period lead through Dustin Whitecotton on 17.27 and Colin Shields on 19.29.

James Griffin, assisted by Shea Guthrie and Kevin Harvey, pulled a goal back on 25.42 and on 46.55, Brian McMinn scored on the powerplay, assisted by Ryan Ginand and Michael Devin to make it 2-2.

But on 54.23, Bobby Sandrock, scored the winner for Belfast to send the Blaze to a 3-2 defeat.
