Coventry Blaze went down to a 4-3 defeat at Braehead Clan tonight in Glasgow.
Jack Galbraith scored twice to put the Scottish side ahead at the end of the first.
However, in the second period, Shea Guthrie scored on 23.24, assisted by Woo-Sang Park and Robert Farmer and on 27.11, the Blaze were level when Dustin Wood scored, assisted by Shea Guthrie and Owen Fussey.
Braehead hit back with goals from Bannister and Haywood to lead 4-2 at the end of the second.
With five seconds of the match remaining, Robert Farmer pulled one back, assisted by Mike McLean and Jonathan Weaver but it was not enough to stop the Blaze from chalking up another defeat.
The sides meet back at the Sky Dome on Sunday night.
