Coventry Blaze beat Cardiff Devils 4-2 at the Sky Dome in an Elite League game tonight.

There were no goals in the first period and the crowd had to wait until 27.37 to see Michael Henrich give The Blaze the lead, assisted by Adam Henrich and Shea Guthrie who rejoined Coventry earlier this week.

Cardiff drew level on 51.42 with a goal from Tomas Kurka but on 54.12, the Blaze were back in front thanks to a powerplay goal from Michael Devin, assisted by Ryan Ginand and Kevin Harvey.

Thirty four seconds later and it was 3-1 to the Blaze when Cale Tanaka scored, assisted by Brian McMinn and Ross Venus.

Back came Cardiff with a goal on 59.06 from Andrew Lord and meant that the Devils were now chasing the game looking for an equalising.

However, pulling their net minder left them exposed and seven seconds from time, Adam Henrich took full advantage to score, assisted by Ryan Ginand and Michael Henrich and give the Blaze , who are away to Hull Stingrays on Sunday night a 4-2 win.
