The Blaze fans had to wait as the second period drew near its conclusion for a second goal which came courtesy of Owen Fussey on 38.58, assisted by Shea Guthrie and Jerramie Domish.
Edinburgh pulled one back through a powerplay goal from Marcis Zembergs on 47.22.
However, back came the Blaze once more and Jon Weaver was able to complete a hat-trick with a goal on 51.03, assisted by Woo-Sang Park and Greg Owen and an assisted powerplay goal on 53.45
Richard Hartmann scored a second for the Capitals on 58.19 but it was another two points for the Blaze.
