Coventry Blaze came from behind to beat Basingstoke Bisons 5-2 at the Sky Dome tonight.

The visitors lead thanks to a sixth minute goal from Ryan Aldridge but started to find their form in the second period.

Paul Thompson's side had 24 shots compared to Basingstoke's five in the second period and they equalised after 24.51 thanks to Matt Soderstrom flicking home from a Dan Carlsson assist.

The Blaze support in a three quarters full Sky Dome were celebrating a second goal when Scott Kelman finished neatly after 26.49. Basingstoke had around fifty supporters with them and their noisy band had the smiles brought back to their faces thanks to Aldridge scoring his second of the match just before the end of the period.

Again,Coach Thompson , looked like he was going to read the riot act to his team as he trapsed across the ice at the end of the second period. Whatever, he said brought immediate results as Adam Calder fired The Blaze back in front after 43.23.

Dan Carlson netted a fourth after 47.09 and Russ Cowley completed a good victory with a scoring strike with 49.30 gone.

The Blaze travel to Cardiff tomorrow night and we will have details of how they get on.
