Big Weekend For Coventry Boxers

Four Coventry boxers have big fights this weekend.

Steve Bendall will be looking for a win in Birmingham on Saturday night when he hopes to put the defeat by Darren Barker behind him, when he fights Paul Smirh on the undercard of the Frank Warren bill at The NIA which is headlined by Amir Khan who takes on Mixhael Gomez. .



















On Friday night at the Sky Dome in Coventry. Three boxers who train in the Stoke area of Cov are on the bill. City supporters James Mulhern,James Flinn and former Welsh amateur champion Rhys Davies all will be looking for victories in front of a partisan home crowd.

The main event, which will also be shown live on Sky Sports, will be the contest between Elcock and McDermott. Birmingham based Elcock is no stranger to the Sky Dome having beaten Howard Eastman in Coventry last year.
