Coventry boxer Steve Bendall is back in business. Tile Hill raised Bendall will take on Liverpool's Paul Smith for the English Middleweight title as an undercard fight to the Amir Khan fight at Birmingham's NIA on Saturday June 21st. Bendall had thought about retiring after his seven round defeat to Darren Barker in February but the prospect of this fight with Smith has given the City supporter who always wears sky blue trunks, the determination to carry on. Smith won a silver medal in the 2002 Commonwealth Games and has a record of thirteen stoppages and Bendall said "I know he is strong but it is a fight I can win. "I still believe that I can match anyone in the country and this is my chance to prove it.."
