Coventrian Ian Bell has retained his place for England's tour to the West Indies which starts on January 25th.

Bell had been inconsistent with the bat during the recent two test tour of India and only made 47 runs in four innings.

His England place became in jeopardy with news of a possible return for former England skipper and Warwickshire target Michael Vaughan. However, the England selectors have kept faith with him and he will travel to the West Indies along with Warwickshire wicket keeper Tim Ambrose,

England are due to play a St Kitts X1 in St Kitts on January 25th in a two day game before taking on West Indies A also in St Kitts on January 29th.

There will be four test matches, starting on February 4th and five one day internationals along with a Twenty20 international and a match against a WIPA Presidents XI on March 14th.

The last game is on April 3rd and England will return home to take on Australia in the summer.
