Last night the Coventry Bees were away at Reading and returned back to Brandon with a 53-39 vistory, that has closed the gap to 2nd in the table Poole to 2 points with 2 matches in hand for the Bees.

With Olly Allen stil recovering from injuries sustained in Monday nights sky TV meetign at home to Poole, the Bees used rider replacement as cover. Aside from Steve Johnson the side scored solidly with 12 out of the 15 heats won by a Bees rider.

Top scorer was Scott Nicholls with 13 and Chris Harris with 12 +1.

With the bonus point picked up, and Poole dropping a bonus last night against Belle Vue, the signs are looking good for a top 2 finish in the league which is the target for the home match advantage of the play-off stage.

Next up is the visit of local rivals Wolverhampton to Brandon on friday. Start time (weather permitting) is the usual Brandon time of 7.45pm.
