Bees See Off The Wolves

Coventry Bees speedway team beat Wolves 49-43 tonight at Brandon in a Midland League meeting.

The Bees who again used rider replacement for Chris Harris, got off to a good start winning the opening heat 4-2 and the second 5-1.

Ed Kennett fell but remounted in the third heat which finished 3-3 with Scott Nicholls working his way into second to stop Wolves taking a 5-1 in heat four.

Larsen and Kennett romped to a 5-1 in heat six to see Coventry 22-14 up before Tai Woffenden won a re-run heat seven.

After a 3-3, the Bees won heat nine 4-2. Being ten points down, Klindt had the tactical ride and earned four points in a 4-4 on a freezing cold night.

Wolves won the first two heats after the restart to get within four points of the Bees, who won heat thirteen 4-2 thanks to some good riding from Nicholls.

Adam Roynon blasted out of the gate on Heat fifteen and with Ed Kennett joining him, the Bees took a 5-1.

Wolves won the last heat 5-1 as Coventry won 49-43.
