Coventry Bees Speedway Team were beaten 50-40 by Peterborough Panthers tonight at Brandon.

After Friday night's 70-20 loss, the joint heaviest in the club's history, the gloom continued as Peterborugh took a 5-1 in the opening heat.

One of the two guests for the Bees - Hugh Skidmore, went in heat two and after Dakota North fell, Patrick Hougaard won the second heat for a 3-3.

Zengota gave The Bees a 4-2 win in the third before Kossa Smith and Scott Nicholls rode to a very welcome 5-1 which put Coventry 13-11 up.

That was the last time in the meeting that the Bees led on points as unfortunately, Zengota allowed Fisher to pass and the Panthers took a 5-1 to go back in front.

A 3-3, was followed by a 4-2 and a 5-1 for the Panthers along with another 3-3 but in Heat Ten, Kazprzak won for a 4-2.

There was a 3-3 in heat eleven before the Panthers came back with a 4-2 and a 5-1 but in the final heat, Kasprzak and Nicholls won for a 5-1 not that it mattered as Peterborough won 50-40.
