On a night where the riders of both sides had to deal with less than perfect conditions at Brandon the Bees played host to the Lakeside Hammers, who tracked former Bees Lee Richardson and Stuart Robson.

In the Bees side as a guest for the injured Olly Allen was Lewis Bridger, with rider replacement covering the similarly injured Ben Barker.

The meeting began with three straight drawn heats before the Hammers went behind to a heat advantage from Bridger and Jordan Frampton.
Two more drawn heats followed before the Hammers recorded a 5-1 and 4-2 in heats 7 and 8 to open up a slender 4 point lead, by which time the rain was falling at a steady pace.

However the Bees immediately reduced the deficit to 2 points before heats 12 and 14 saw the Bees open up a 4 point advantage on the night, going into the last heat ahead 44-40. Try as they might the Hammers couldn't score the points needed with the Bees running out victors by 47 points to 43.
