Bees Firmly Knocked Out By Poole

Coventry Bees suffered a ten point defeat in the second leg of the Knock Out Cup Final at Poole tonight.

The Bees trailed by fourteen points from Friday's first leg at Brandon and had Brendan Johnson riding at number six.

The meeting started with two 3-3's followed by Poole winning the third heat 4-2.

The same pattern happened for the next three heats with two 3-3's and a 4-2 to Poole won by Ryan Howarth.

Two more 4-2's to Poole and a 3-3 had Poole 31-23 up after nine heats.

Scott Nicholls and Kenni Larsen rode to a 4-2 in heat ten but Iversen and Howarth took a 5-1 win the next heat and the Knockout Cup was on its way to Poole.

A 3-3 and 5-1 to Poole had the home side fourteen points up before the Bees took the final two heats 4-2 to lose the meeting by 50 points to 40 and an aggregate 102-78 defeat.
