Bees Finish With A Win

Coventry Bees finished their Elite League season campaign with a 48-46 victory over the Kings Lynn Stars at Brandon.

The Bees had new signing Linus Sundstrom riding at number five with Scott Nicholls moving to number one following the departure of Kryzystof Kazprzak and Kyle Howarth guesting.

In a re-run opening heat after Chris Harris was excluded, Howarth took the win followed by Nicholls for a 5-1.

Howarth settled for second in the next heat as Arron Summers won in an easy 5-1. Mads Korneilussen, who had a paid maximum, won the heat third in a 5-1 for Kings Lynn before Sundstrom had his first ride for the Bees. The new signing was last and gave up on the final lap in a 3-3.

A re-run heat five gave the Bees a 4-2 win and with Summers and Nicholls storming to a 5-1 win in heat six, Coventry were now ahead by ten points.

Korneilussen took a tactical ride and won for a 6-3. followed by a Summers win in a 3-3 and a 4-2 in a re-run heat nine.

Another 3-3 was followed by Summers storming to a 5-1 and Bunyan taking a tactical ride for a 5-2 to the Stars which saw Coventry's lead down to ten points.

Former Bees rider Rory Schlein stormed to a 5-1 as did Worrall in a twice re-run heat fourteen.

This left the Bees two points ahead going into the final heat but a second for Nicholls and a third for Zengota earned a 3-3 and ensured the Bees won by two points.
