Bees Draw At Peterborough

Coventry Bees Speedway Team snatched a 45-45 draw at Peterborough Panthers this morning.

At the Showground, the Bees got off to a great start when Chris Harris and Adam Roynon rode to a 5-1.

A 3-3 and 4-2 to Peterborough were followed by Scott Nicholls and Szczepaniak gating for a 5-1 to make it 15-10 to the Bees after four heats.

However, two 3-3's and three 4-2's to Peterborough meant that it was 27-27 after nine heats. 

Former Bees rider Rory Schlein rode for a 4-2 victory in heat ten to put Peterbrough in the lead for the first time in the meeting.

Heat eleven was a 3-3 before both teams took 5-1's and then a 3-3 which saw the Panthers two points up going into the final heat.

Chris Harris and Scott Nicholls went for Coventry and Nicholls was able to get past Sundstrom on lap two and give the Bees a 4-2 to ensure that the meeting was drawn.

The sides are due to meet at Brandon this evening.
