The Bees signed off their Elite league 2008 campaign with a match away at Belle Vue, postponed last week due to very poor weather.

With the Bees savely out of the bottom 2 play-off places it was the aces who needed a victory to secure a Wolverhampton Vs Peterborough relegation fight.
The Aces began in fine style with a 5-1 heat maximum but the Bees hit back in heat 2 with a 4-2. Thereafter heat advantages were traded between heats 4 and 6 to leave the meeting score at 22-14 to the Aces. Heat 7 saw the last ride of the night for Chris Harris who withdrew from the meeting, which left the Bees with an uphill task.
The Aces took full advantage to extend their lead to 27-15, and try as the Bees will always do, shown by reducing the deficit to 6 points over heats 8 amd 9, the Aces then pulled away and record a 50 points to 40 victory, to secure their Elite League berth for the 2009 season.
