Bees Beaten By Swindon

Coventry Bees were beaten 41-49 by Swindon Robins tonight at Brandon.

Swindon are the best side in the league and were strong throughout tonight's meeting.



The Bees were always up against it but somehow kept it close going into the final race four points down. it was the best two riders on the night in Adams and Zagar for Swindon who took the final race.

Rory Schlein and Ed Kennett top scored for the Bees with nine points.

The Bees have announced the following fixture changes:

The first change is at Brandon is on Monday July 27, with the home fixture against Lakeside being brought forward to this date for live Sky Sports coverage. This match will start at 7.30pm.

The original date of Lakeside's visit, Friday August 21, has now been reserved for the home leg of the Knockout Cup semi-final, which will be against either Belle Vue or Poole.

The Elite League 'A' fixture against Wolverhampton, rained-off in May, will now take place on the initial 'B' date of Friday, August 7. The 'B' fixture has been arranged for Thursday, August 27.

Away from home, the match at Poole scheduled for Wednesday, August 5 has been brought forward to Monday, August 3 for live Sky Sports coverage.

The away fixture at Eastbourne on Monday, August 17 is now provisional.

In addition, the Buildbase Bees are set to take part in a late-summer Midland League alongside Wolverhampton and Swindon. Dates for the matches against Wolves have been set as Monday, August 24 (at Wolves) and Thursday, September 10 (at Brandon)."
