Coventry Bees Speedway Team were beaten for the second time this season at Birmingham Brummies tonight.

The Bees had Emil Sayfutdinov who had been denied a home debut on Monday by the weather starting at number one with Todd Kurtz riding at number six against a Brummies side which contained former Bees riders Krzysztof Kasprzak and Ben Barker.

The Russian got the Bees off to a flier in the opening heat with a 5-1 which Birmingham cancelled out in the second.

Birmingham took heat three 5-1 and with the fourth heat finishing 3-3, it was not until Sayfutdnov rode again that the Bees won a heat.

A cracking ride by the Russian gave The Bees a 4-2 win in heat five. Heat six finished 3-3 and a 4-2 home win in heat seven gave Birmingham a 23-19 lead.

Heats eight,.nine and eleven all finished 3-3 and a 4-2 to Birmingham in heat ten increased their lead to six points.

With Richard Sweetman replacing Kurtz in Heat twelve, that finished 3-3.

Sayfutdinov went straight from the gate to give Coventry a 5-1 in heat thirteen but Danny King and Claus Vissing did the same in the next heat to give Birmingham the win.

The Russian was denied a maximum by Ben Barker in the final heat which finished in a 3-3 and meant that the Bees were beaten 48-42.
