Bees Beat The Stars

Coventry Bees beat Kings Lynn Stars 47-43 in an Elite League meeting tonight.

At Brandon tonight, the Bees, who had Birmingham's Daniel King in at number one and Ludvig Lindgren guesting at number six whilst using rider replacement for Olly Allen, ended with a 3-3 in the first heat after Niels-Kristian Iversen got past King to win.

Kings Lynn won a re-run heat two 4-2 but Michael Szczepaniak and Scott Nicholls rode for a 5-1 in the next heat.

A 3-3 was followed by King beating former Bees rider Rory Schlein for a 4-2 and then the Doctor was called to look at Simon Stead who was forced to withdraw from the meeting, whilst work was carried out on the fence on bends one and two.

The re-run heat seven was the first of three 3-3's before Iversen and Schlein took a 5-1 in heat thirteen to reduce the Bees lead to 41-37.

In Heat fourteen, Lebedev had got into the lead only to crash allowing Stuart Robson to win and the Bees to take a 3-3 and a 3-3 in the final heat gave the Bees a 47-43 victory.
