The meeting got the go-ahead at 6.45pm and Ed Kennett was in good form scoring 13+1 as the Bees won 46-43 to make up for Monday night's heavy defeat at Wolverhampton.
Martin Smolinski has agreed to return to The Bees as cover for Rory Schlein. Ben Barker has recovered from a broken leg and is available again.
Colin Pratt said: "Martin was very keen to come back, and hopefully he and Ben will have the effect we need. We're doing our best to be competitive."
