Bees Beat Leicester Again

Coventry Bees did the double over Leicester Lions with a 50-40 victory.

The Bees travelled with Richard Lawson and Max Fricke guesting on a sunny night.

Ryan Fisher fell in the opening heat and was excluded as Leicester took a 5-1 and after two 3-3's, Fisher was back to win heat four.

Jason Doyle won for a 5-1 in the next heat but that was cancelled out in heat six with Hans Andersen and Chris Harris romping to a 5-1 victory.

That put Leicester 19-17 up and after two more 3-3's, the Bees took the lead when Jason Garrity and James Sarjeant gated for a 5-1.

Heat ten which was twice re-run after Ljung fell finished in a 3-3 before Anderson and Fricke stormed to a 5-1 win in the next heat.

Fisher winning in a 4-2 put the Bees eight points ahead and after a 3-3, Fricke won to take the margin to ten points in a 4-2.

With heat fifteen being won by Doyle in a 3-3, the Bees were able to take a great win by 50-40.

LEICESTER 40: Jason Doyle 15, Peter Ljung 7+1, Simon Stead 5, Tom Perry 5, Mads Korneliussen 4, Adam Skornicki 3+2, Max Clegg 1+1.

COVENTRY 50: Chris Harris 10+2, Hans Andersen 10+1, Jason Garrity 9+1, Max Fricke 8+1, Ryan Fisher 7+1, Richard Lawson 3+1, James Sarjeant 3+1.
