Bedworth To Host 40th Birthday Party

Bedworth United FC will be holding their ''40 Years United'' Fun Day on Sunday with the event starting at 12pm and running all through the day until 10pm.

Numerous events are planned by the club including a display by the Bedworth Model Aeroplane club, soccer skills involving the junior set-up, a cross-bar challenge and a lot more.

There will also be food and refreshment available thanks to TG Ices Ice Cream van and Wendy''s Kitchen Jacket Potato van along with a bouncy castle & slide to entertain any children attending the event.

The legends match will start at 3pm preceeded by a minute''s silence in memory of the former Greenbacks who are no longer with us.

The Greenbacks team sponsored by Coventry Greyhound Stadium will be managed by ex staff members Mick Stebleton, ex Sky Blues player Jimmy Holmes & John Brady with the BUFC team sponsored by Take Two Kitchens being managed by Simon Benn, Billy Hollywood & Brendan Phillips.

Brannan Agency Signs have kindly came on board as our match ball sponsors.

There will be a sport auction held in the evening with a start time of around 6.30-7pm. The latest items to have been donated is several signed medals & trophies courtesy of Coventry Blaze player Adam Calder, a meal for four at the Rugger Tavern in Attleborough along with a free pair of boots donated by Joma UK Ltd.

Anyone wishing to attend the event is advised that there will be limited car parking at the football club and people should use the other nearby parking where applicable to avoid congestion.
