'Magnum' Steve Beaton must win his final Group F match against Kevin McDine this Wednesday as he bids to ensure his last 16 place in the 2009 PartyPoker.com Grand Slam of Darts at Wolverhampton.

The 45-year-old Coventry darter took the opening leg but was later well beaten 5 legs to 2 by Scotland's Gary Anderson.

In the seventh leg Beaton failed to keep the match alive after failing to checkout on Double 16, allowing Anderson to seal victory and book his place in the last 16.

East Midlander McDine picked up his first win after scraping through to a 5-4 win over Dutchman Co Stomp and is now level on two points with Beaton.
