Coventry Bears Rugby League were beaten 34-16 at Pikington Recs.
Three tries had the Bears 16-0 down before Ross Bayston broke and passed to Rich Synott to score an unconverted try.
Two convered tries in the second half had Pilkington 28-4 up but Ross Bayston on the left scored from good work from new signing Chris Bowler.
Fabrizio Cuarro scored another try for The Bears after an Alex Brown break but the home side scored the final try to take the win.
