Away Win For Nuneaton

Nuneaton Town moved up to sixteenth in the Conference Premier Division table with a 2-0 victory against Gateshead.

In a game played at Hartlepool United's Victoria Ground, in front of only 304 supporters and 45 Nuneaton fans, Kevin Wilkin's side  who included Coventry City duo Lee Burge and Arron Phillips, took the lead in the 11th minute through Wes Yorke.

This was followed up by Andy Brown scoring a second in the 36th minute.

David McNamee tweeted after the win: "4 a group of part-time ballers 2 come away from work and play like that tonight is incredible. Great lads, great team and great win."

In the Midland Combination Premier Division, Southam United won 4-2 at Pelsall Villa and Coventry Copsewood lost 1-0 at Lichfield City.

In Division One, Alvis won 4-1 at FC Sporting Glades.

In Division Two, Coventry Spires won 2-1 at Alcester Town and Kenilworth Town drew 2-2 at Henley Forest.
