Atherstone Involved In Another Cup Shock

After seeing off Redditch United, Atherstone Town continued with their run of seeing off higher league opposition in the FA Cup with a 1-0 win over Coalville Town.

Coalville had all the chances but in the last minute, Atherstone scored to book their place in the Third Round.

Leamington have a replay at the New Windmill Ground on Tuesday night after a 75th minute Johnson goal earned them a 1-1 draw at Solihull Moors.

Rugby Town won 6-0 at Blaby & Whetstone. Seb Lake-Gaskin put Valley ahead in the first half and after the Leicestershire side were reduced to ten men, Rugby took advantage. David Kolodynski added asecond, Lake-Gaskin hit the third, Kolodynski scored the fourth, substitute Richard Blythe scored the fifth and Lewis McBride made it six.

Nuneaton Town went down to a 2-0 defeat at Woking. Scott Rendall fired Woking ahead in the 13th minute and Josh Payne made it two in the 49th minute.

Bedworth United were beaten 3-1 at home by Sheffield FC in the Northern Premier League Division One South.

Zephaniah Thomas put Sheffield ahead in the sixth minute before Simeon Williams levelled for the Greenbacks in 13th minute. The crowd of 182 saw Warren Burrell put Sheffield back in front in the 26th minute and Andrew Gascoigne add a third in the 61st minute.
