Already at the Skydome for six season, Soderstrom has made 374 appearances and told his club's website: "I really started enjoying hockey again last season. The couple of years before that had been tough in many ways but just coming back and pulling on a Blaze jersey again got me so excited. I love the club and the fans and every time I go out on the ice I can guarantee that I'm going to give one hundred percent for the cause.
"Just playing along side some really outstanding players, in a good team, with great coaching supported by a solid organisation just makes me want to come to work. Winning two championships at the top level here last season were two of the highlights of my career and I will do all I can to help the team repeat those successes next season."
