A Storming Win

Coventry Storm won 55-37 at Stoke tonight.

The Storm, using rider replacement for Robert Branford, lost the opening heat 4-2, had a 3-3 in the second and went down 4-2 in the third heat.

But in heat four, Joe Jacobs riding at number five won the heat with James Shanes coming second for a 5-1 to make the score twelve all.

James Sarjeant rode for a 4-2 and in heat six, Luke Chang and Jacobs took a 5-1 with Oliver Greenwood winning the next heat to give the Storm an eight point lead.

That was reduced to four points in heat eight when Stoke took a 5-1 in a re-run heat but the Storm came back with two 4-2's and a 5-1 to lead by twelve.

Ben Reade took a tactical ride in heat twelve which had to be re-run after Crang hit the fence but got up. Stoke took a 5-3 from that heat but Joe Jacobs won heat thirteen for a 4-2, Greenwood and Shanes rode to a 5-1 and in a re-run final heat, Sarjeant won for a 4-2 and an excellent 55-37 victory.
