Coventry City U18's battled for a 0-0 draw against Watford.

On a cold morning with the wind howling around the Alan Higgs Centre,it was not until the 31st minute that the first chance game when Watford's Alex Campana fired inches wide of Cameron Belford's far post from a Jordan Parkes free kick,

City who will only be able to field players who are under the age of eighteen next season, countered with Chris Duggan getting to the byline and delivering a cross which Martin McCoy sliced over his own bar for the first of two corners.

Watford cleared the danger and broke very quickly upfront through Elliott Frost who squared for Theo Robinson to strike a post.

Things remained equally as tight in the second period.

Cameron Belford was the busier of the two keepers, getting down to make a diving save from a McCoy effort from the edge of the area.

In the 65th minute, Hornet's skipper was cautioned for a bad tackle on the lively Adam Layfield who recovered to force Jamie Hood into pushing the ball round for a corner.

Layfield along with David Burtoft were replaced as a precaution as both sides settled for the draw.
