Arena Coventry Limited (ACL) has a five year strategic vision which currently does not include the running of Coventry City Football Club according to their Chief Executive Daniel Gidney.

When the Sky Blue Trust spoke to Mr Gidney, he said that the football club was in a dreadful situation with regard to the finances but since Joe Elliott became Chairman the partnership working between ACL and CCFC has improved tremendously and he was hopeful that a successful conclusion could be reached to help stabilise the football club's finances.

Mr Gidney also spoke about how the five year vision including increasing the non-footballing revenues streams such as exhibitions, concerts and events; this could make potentially make any future negotiations with the football club more favourable for both parties.

ACL shareholders - Coventry City Council and the Higgs Charity have not been paid any dividends from any profit the company has made as when ACL was set up at £21million loan was taken out with Yorkshire Bank and the profit is used to service this loan.

Natalie Cox, Media Co-ordinator, from the Sky Blue Trust said "I would like to thank Daniel for taking time out of his very busy schedule to talk to us and answer our questions. He has agreed to answer, if possible, any future questions from supporters through the Sky Blue Trust."

The Trust are holding a public meeting tonight at Hen Lane Social Club at 7.30pm.
