The Time Is Right For Timeline

In order to getting Coventry City running efficiently as possible, a new system has been introduced. Timeline is part of the "SMART" project and brings in software and business solution companies to ensure that various club departments make the most of the new technology the project offers.

An aspect of Timeline which affects us, the supporters is the new ticket system. Instead of your season ticket book where you tear out a voucher for each game, this season you will have a credit card style ticket.

Those of you who have been to Reading or Man City will know that you have to get your card swiped to gain entrance into the stadium and it will be the same at the Arena.

In order for this to work, the cabling and equipment needs to be installed as well staff having to be re-trained. A programme in-conjunction with a software company to retrain ticket office staff, stewards and turnstile operators will be completed by July 9th and the turnstiles and retail outlets tested on the day of the kit launch on July 22nd.

July 18th is the day that the Smart Cards should be sent out on,so season ticket holders can expect to receive theirs in the post after that.

For those of you living outside Cov or who can't get to the two ticket offices during the normal working week, a new Print At Home" ticket system will be introduced (more on this when we have it).

Timeline is a complicated system with many facets but is another positive step forward for Coventry City.
