The CT understands that plans for a stopping train at the Ricoh Arena is considered flawed by the Government.
They are believed to think that a service would not attract enough passengers, would lose money and incur problems with passengers changing platforms at Coventry station and crowd contol issues at the Ricoh Arena on matchdays.
