The gym at the Ricoh Arena will continue.
The facility along with the Foleshill Sports and Leisure Centre which includes Livingstone Baths, had been the subject of discussion by Coventry Sports Trust officials who were looking to make budget savings.
The Trust have, according to the CT, given themselves eighteen months to turn the organisation rather than close the two sports facilities.
The Coventry Sports Trust, which is an independent charitable trust, have appealed to people to use both facilities or risk losing them in the future.
