COVENTRY CITY RESERVES 0-2 WALSALL RESERVES BY KEV MONKS

Things started badly for the Sky Blues who were two goals down inside the opening nine minutes. A mistake on the right let in the Saddlers number nine Par Cederqvist who chipped into an empty net and then less than a minute later, the visitors added a second with a low drive from their right back Manni Smith following a good build-up.

The Sky Blues started to raise their game with a Callum Burgess long ranger pushed away for a 55th minute corner and two minutes later, the keeper blocked when Adam Virgo dived in.
Richard Money's side had to make a change in the 62nd minute when Alex Nicholls was stretchered off after a crunching tackle from Ryan Lynch.
Walsall who featured new signing Geordie Lyall,Ishmel Deomntagnac and Mark Bradley kept the ball on the deck to control the game and ended up winning rather too easily.
