Police will be cracking down on pick pockets for the Kings Of Leon gig at the Ricoh Arena on May 30th.

There will be under-cover police targeting pick pockets, something which has been a problem at previous gigs and saw two known pick pockets jailed after the Oasis gig in Coventry in 2009. The stewards will also be trained in spotting pick-pockets.

Chief Inspector Ryan Howat told the CT: "We would encourage anyone attending to make sure that any purses, wallets or phones are out of sight - not protruding from bags or pockets.

"Ideally don't take a wallet, just loose cash and what you need on the night. Don't take cameras, expensive watches or jewellery. Fans need to be aware of who is around them and regularly check their all belongings.

"Any suspicious activity should be reported to stewards or police officers in the stadium.

"We will continue to work with the Ricoh Arena management to devise crime reduction strategies for events at the venue.

"These include more extensive CCTV coverage, proactive adivce to visitors and an increase in covert policing tactics inside the stadium during gigs."
